FAQs
What can I expect in my first session?
We talk about what brings you here and what you want to feel different. You set the pace, and I guide the conversation so things start to make sense. No prep needed.
How much does counselling cost?
Sessions are $94.50 for 50 minutes for a limited time.
Payments are processed through the secure client portal.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
Right now, I’m working via telehealth only. It’s simple, private, and works well for most people. It also gives you more flexibility with timing and privacy.
Do I need a referral or Mental Health Care Plan?
No. You can book directly at any time. No limits, no GP appointment, no paperwork.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes. Everything stays between us, with a few legal exceptions I’ll explain in your first session.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you want to work on. Some people come for a few sessions, others for longer. We check in often and you decide what feels right.
What’s the difference between a counsellor and a psychologist?
Psychologists work within Medicare and AHPRA. Counsellors don’t, which means more flexibility and no referral needed.
The quality of support is similar. The systems around us are different.
Can I claim sessions on private health insurance?
Some funds offer rebates through extras cover. Check your policy to see if counselling is included.
What’s your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel, please provide 24 hours' notice to avoid paying the session fee.
